2025 Tour De France Odds, Time, and Prediction
The 2025 Tour De France starts on July 5 in Lille and ends in Paris on July 27. Read our preview to see who we predict will be the first rider to complete the 2,075-mile distance

The most prestigious race in the cycling universe is on the program in July in France, where 176 riders will compete for the yellow jersey. As per the 2025 Tour De France odds, legendary three-time winner Tadej Pogacar is most likely to win the race.
He won last year’s race, completing the 21 stages just before Jonas Vingegaard and Remco Evenepoel. Those two are currently in second and third places on the list of the 2025 Tour De France favorites, followed by Joao Almeida and Primoz Roglic.

Reasons Why Tadej Pogacar Should be Your 2025 Tour De France Pick
With 2025 Tour De France odds of -300, Tadej Pogacar is a strong favorite to win this year’s race. No surprise there as he’s already a three-time winner, who won the event in 2020, 2021, and 2024.
The guy’s climbing legs are unmatched, his time trial game keeps improving, and he’s got UAE Team Emirates fully built around him. The route this year plays right into his hands with long climbs and technical descents that he’s an expert in dealing with.
In France, Pogacar is racing for a GOAT status. After achieving the “triple crown of cycling” last year – by winning two Grand Tours and the UCI Road World Championships – he wants to do something similar again.
The Slovenian has started the 2025 campaign in top gear, winning the Critérium du Dauphiné (a.k.a., Tour Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes) in early June – a one-week stage race in Southeastern France that’s considered a dress rehearsal for the Tour De France.
Time for Jonas Vingegaard to Raise from the Ashes
Jonas Vingegaard is a two-time Tour De France winner, who, until recently, was seen as the next big thing in road cycling. Sure, he still remains one of the best riders on the planet, but his rise to stardom was halted by a severe crash in last year’s Tour of Basque Country that resulted in him getting hospitalized for weeks.
Combining the total race time across the last FOUR years of Tour de France action, Tadej Pogacar leads Jonas Vingegaard by LESS than 90 seconds 😱

He returned in time for the 2024 Tour De France but was unable to win it for a third time straight. He did come very close – the Danish rider finished second, just 6 minutes and 17 seconds behind Pogacar.
Something similar happened the last time they were in a race together. In the 2025 Critérium du Dauphiné, which Pogacar won, Vingegaard finished second.
Other Cyclists to Watch Out For
Remco Evenepoel is the man who finished third in last year’s Tour De France. He’s third on the list of favorites, but his odds of +1600 suggest that he won’t be able to challenge for the yellow shirt. The same goes for all other riders, all of whom come with odds of +2500 or more.
No surprise there, really, because Pogacar and Vingegaard are the only two riders who have won the Tour De France since the start of the decade. The last time someone else won it was in 2019 when Egan Bernal won it.
The Colombian isn’t expected to take part in the 2025 edition of the French Grand Tour. In fact, the only Tour De France winner – other than Pogacar and Vingegaard – who’s expected to compete in July is Geraint Thomas. The 39-year-old has a great resume, but his odds of +15000 suggest he won’t do much.
2025 Tour De France Prediction
Everything seems to be going in Tadej Pogacar’s favor. He loves competing in the Tour De France and he’s been in great shape since the start of the season. Jonas Vingegaard is a tricky rival, but in 2025, we think Pogacar is much better than him.
Pick: Tadej Pogacar
