2025 Homestead Odds Favor Kyle Larson

Homestead-Miami is a track famous for its high tire wear, which is something that certain drivers seem to love. One of those is Kyle Larson.

Not only did he win this race in 2022 – leading 199 of 267 laps – but he’s also won the Southern 500 race in Darlington, which uses a similar track.

This explains why he’s the betting favorite to win on March 23, but that’s not all. Larson has also started improving his form in 2025. He’s still without a win this season, but it seems that it’s just a matter of time before he gets to the top of the podium.

As a reminder, this guy started slowly in the last season as well, winning his first race in the seventh week of the campaign. But then, he went on to win two more races in a row. Is March 23 the day when his streak starts?    

Tyler Reddick and Ryan Blaney Seen as Top Contenders

Same as Larson, Tyler Reddick and Ryan Blaney too love these sorts of races. They’ve both put on some commendable performances at Homestead and similar tracks in the past.

In fact, Reddick is the driver who won the Straight Talk Wireless 400 last year. Blaney also delivered an impressive performance in the 2024 Straight Talk Wireless 400, finishing in second place, just 0.241 seconds behind Reddick.

These guys are flying relatively high in the Drivers’ Championship, but their finish in the last couple of races wasn’t great. But that’s just another reason for them to up their game on March 23.

In our opinion, Kyle Larson is the safest pick to win the 2025 Straight Talk Wireless 400. The main reason is that he’s always done well on high tire-wear tracks. Plus, he’s got a huge motivation to finally win a race in 2025.
