Across the United States, millions of visitors enjoy casino gambling every month. While casinos across the country bring legal gambling, accidents can ruin one’s stay and this is precisely what happened to one Live! Casino Pittsburgh visitor.

Lawsuit Seeks $30,000 in Damages

This summer, Rita Romagnoli visited the casino located in Hempfield Township, Pennsylvania. While she was enjoying her time at the casino, a sewage pipe burst over her head. Romagnoli was subsequently covered in fecal matter which ultimately resulted in her staying in hospital for more than two weeks after she was diagnosed with bacterial pneumonia, as announced by Trib LIVE.

Now, the woman filed a lawsuit against the operator of Live! Casino Pittsburgh, Stadium Casino Westmoreland, along with the owner of the mall facility where the casino is located, CBL & Associates Properties. Filed with the Westmoreland County Court on Thursday, the lawsuit seeks damages of $30,000.

In their legal claim, Romagnoli and her husband, Robert Romagnoli, argue that the defendants were aware of the issue. Moreover, the plaintiffs alleged that the accident is the direct result of negligence. According to the lawsuit, following the July 28 accident, Rita Romagnoli was hospitalized for 15 days.
