BetBlocker, a fast-growing safer gaming charity, has teamed up with Gamblers Connect to expand the language options available on its responsible gambling app. Thanks to this latest collaboration, BetBlocker will now be available in Serbian, allowing people from the Eastern European country to leverage its capabilities to get their gambling habits under control.

BetBlocker Now Available in Serbian

BetBlocker emphasized that the addition of a Serbian language version of its app is in line with its ongoing commitment to helping as many people as possible overcome their gambling hurdles. To that end, the charity seeks to make sure that every user can access the app in their first language.

BetBlocker cited a 2018 study by the journal International Gambling Studies, which estimated that 0.5% of Serbians are experiencing some kind of gambling problem. Sports bettors in particular were extra vulnerable due to the rapid growth of sports media and betting services.

By adding a Serbian language version of the app, BetBlocker will effectively cater to the needs of many Serbian players who wish to use its support services to play responsibly. With 7 million Serbian speakers in the country and 3 million living abroad, BetBlocker is poised to reach 10 million more people.

A Shared Commitment to Responsible Gambling

BetBlocker thanked Gamblers Connect for the affiliate website’s incredible help in rolling out the Serbian version of the BetBlocker app. According to the announcement, Gamblers Connect provided translation services for free, demonstrating its commitment to ensuring that players bet safely.

BetBlocker’s founder, Duncan Garvie, expressed excitement about the addition of a Serbian language option, calling it a “win for everyone.”

Obviously, it’s great news for Serbian gamblers that BetBlocker is now available in their language. Servia doesn’t currently have the range of support options for people looking to stop or manage their gambling, so this is a substantial step forwards in terms of harm minimisation.

As an affiliate company, Gamblers Connect is in a position where it truly understands players and is therefore aware of what kind of help they need. The company’s founder, Gjorgje Ristikj praised the continued partnership with BetBlocker, which has so far been very positive and impactful.

Ristikj added: “Launching the Serbian version is a meaningful step forward, and we’re proud to support responsible gambling initiatives that truly make a difference.”

BetBlocker Is Now Available in the US Too

The launch of a Serbian language option comes a few months after the launch of BetBlocker in the United States. Upon entering America, the charity confirmed that it was planning to launch English, Spanish, and Chinese problem gambling support services since these are the three most spoken languages in the country.

Founder Garvie weighed in on the launch, saying that he hopes BetBlocker will help tens of thousands of Americans get their gambling under control.
