The World Series of Poker always gets media attention and WSOP.com is gaining eyes because of their new GTD Coast to Coast Tournament. The new tournament is an online festival that will debut at the WSOP Café. The company is celebrating the tri-state online poker network and is preparing to show the full launch at Rio Convention Centre.
The coast to coast concept is a compact between New Jersey, Delaware, and Nevada. Bill Rini and his team announced the new WSOP Café. The new tournament will be $1 million in winnings. The Coast to Coast tournament is a ten-day series, which begins on May 11 and ends on May 20, 2018. 32 scheduled events will provide a five-figure guaranteed prize pool, minimum.
There is also the $15 million WSOP guarantee that will be through the Pot Got Bigger Promotion. The new flagship will provide a Sunday GTD online event for $100,000. There is a new loyalty scheme for players, plus several ways for people to qualify for the live World Series of Poker Events.
The WSOP is the online poker operator online that has been given a chance to operate online in a tri-state compact. It is due to their relationship with 888Poker.
Further details state that the star attraction for the Coast to Coast Festival is the $500 buy-in. The main event will have a guaranteed pool of $200,001. It is the largest online event held in the US, which is a newly regulated online market. The buy-in for the 6-max high roller is $1,000 and another tourney that is bound to gain attention. There is also re-entry on the same night for the high roller event.
Bill Rini said they are hoping the grand opening will serve as a game changer for the players and that other states may like to follow in their tri-state footsteps. The site launched a soft opening Tuesday and already gained 381 players, which is not a huge amount or something to do handstands for, but a nice modest start.
For those who wish to compete in the Coast to Coast Festival’s three events, it is possible to get one of 20 seats into the $365 online bracelet event, which is number ten out of the 32 events.
