The upcoming bout between Charles Oliveira and Mateusz Gamrot is set to be a truly outstanding event. The two fighters are some of the UFC’s most talented and seasoned participants, and they definitely have much to offer.
The odds favor Gamrot ever so slightly, leaning into his recent performance and longer winning streaks. Yet, Oliveira must not be underestimated in the slightest, as he can easily KO/TKO his opponent – all it takes is a momentary hesitation in Gamrot’s defense.

Mateusz Gamrot, Can Oliveira Stop the Juggernaut?
Mateusz Gamrot is one of those UFC veterans who has been taking his time in the UFC. He is not overly keen on participating in too many fights, and he has indeed been taking things slow with only one or two annual fights since 2020.
Yet, Gamrot has defeated some remarkable and equally experienced opponents, including Ludovit Klein earlier this year. Last year, though, he faltered against Dan Hooker and lost by Decision in August. He managed to defeat Rafael dos Anjos that same year, but Hooker broke Gamrot’s winning streak all the same.
Hooker is also very similar of a fighter to Oliveira in terms of both physical capabilities as well as overall performance, which explains why Gamrot is a slight favorite in the upcoming bout at (-120).
Oliveira himself is posted at odds of (+100), with sportsbooks uncertain about this one. Oliveira himself has followed a similar trajectory to Gamrot, not taking on too many fights annually and focusing on a handful of bouts in the end.
He lost to Ilia Topuria by KO/TKO this year and is looking to redeem himself in the upcoming bout. The question is: can he do it? With 46 professional fights under his belt and 35 wins, he is not just an underdog, but a decent contender for the win all the same.
The fight itself does not offer great odds to begin with, because of how close it would be, but Gamrot is definitely a tad more likely to come on top. Even then, however, it’s important to note that none of these fighters had had a true losing streak, as in multiple fights one after the other. Could this mean that the bookies get it right this time? We believe so.
Pick: Mateusz Gamrot (-120)
