Norway is putting great importance by its state-owned gaming operator, Norsk Tipping. The company has now agreed to sign up a new partnership with Scientific Games, a provider of state-of-the-art gaming solutions, which will definitely help the company revitalize its portfolio and give it a bit of an extra appeal.
Scientific Games and Norsk Tipping Go It Together
Renowned gaming studio and developer Scientific Games will be partnering up with Norsk Tipping, Norway’s state-owned gaming operator, to create a new and exciting portfolio for the operator. Norsk Tipping is specifically attempting to bring more attention to its own offer and add more Norwegian gamers to its customer base.

Attempting to completely reinvent itself, Norsk Tipping has already added a series of new slot games, arguably the industry’s most popular ones, to the Kong Kasino and Norsk is further revitalizing its offer with new additions to the Flax section. According to Norsk Tipping Head of Gaming Hans Ringsvold, the casino will benefit in full from the addition of flagship titles that will freshen up the offer, and bring additional growth.
Our relationship with Scientific Games signifies a bright future for Norsk Tipping’s online gaming presence. The addition of massively popular slot titles and a library of fresh eInstant games boosts our portfolio and allows us to reach a wider audience. We’re excited to see continued growth as a result of this partnership. – Norsk Tipping Head of Gaming Hans Ringsvold.
A similar sentiment has been expressed by SG Digital Chief Commercial Officer Steve Schrier who said that Norsk comes with a number of state-of-the-art solutions, including an iLottery. This makes the company a perfect match for any collaboration between Mr. Schrier’s business and Norway’s foremost operator.
The announcement of the partnership has been quite beneficial for SG with shares going up 13%. Positioned to continue and pursue success, SG is preparing to explore a new exciting segment – electronic games, products that tap into the potential of authentic video gaming experience rather than rehashing it as separate slots.
And while SG continues to add lottery operators and to sign up important deals, investors have still not heard about the company, meaning that future investment rounds are imminent. Most recently, SG renewed a deal with the Texas lottery in the United States, and the company is pushing ahead with plans to expand well across the country with the help of Kindred, a respected group in the gaming circles.
The company has been truly busy in November alone, with the Norsk partnership hardly being the highlight of the month. On the same day, the company installed 48 Fusion Hybrid electronic table game seats at Twin River Casino Hotel in Rhode Island.
SG has done quite a bit to leave a footprint across the entire world of gaming, and the results can be seen with the naked eye. While investors have not been piling on the great stock, they are very likely to begin. SG has been less prominent than many of its competitors, but that’s been largely by choice. Now, the company is stepping back into the limelight.
