The Responsible Online Gaming Association (ROGA), which represents 90% of the legal US sports betting industry in terms of handle, has selected LexisNexis Risk Solutions to become the association’s official data clearinghouse provider.

Tapping an Established Provider of Data Clearinghouse Solutions

In picking LexisNexis Risk Solutions, ROGA explained that the company had a long and established track record in providing strong data security, privacy, and delivering a standardized, secure, and well-governed data and analytics workflow.

Thanks to the arrival of this new partner, ROGA will be empowered to leverage the data clearinghouse to bolster its responsible gaming commitment as well as strengthen consumer protection across the entire industry.

LexisNexis Risk Solutions’ senior director Sean Britt welcomed this opportunity and expressed complete readiness to leverage his company’s solutions to achieve just that.

We are highly responsible custodians of sensitive data records and as such, this positions us well to support ROGA’s mission to advance responsible gaming across the industry,” Britt added.

The partnership was naturally welcomed by ROGA itself, with executive director Dr Jennifer Shatley saying:

Through this clearinghouse, when a player self-excludes through a member operator’s online gaming site, that player will be self-excluded across all ROGA member online gaming sites. Expanding player self-exclusion beyond individual operators is crucial to ensuring that there are breaks from online gaming for those that need them across the legal online gaming industry.”

ROGA has previously teamed up with the Responsible Gambling Council (RGC) to develop a standardized RG certification for online operators, used to measure their commitment to player safety and safeguards.
