Ridder Is on a Roll. Can Allen Stop It?
The bookies are quite naturally favoring Ridder, giving him a solid lead I the odds. Betting on him is now set at (-200), making the man an almost certain winner. Yet, Allen’s odds of (+170) offer a tempting return, which makes us look harder at his actual performance.
Make no mistake, though. Ridder has been going through opponents at a rapid pace. He has already fought three times this year and won all his bouts, with his grappling skills demonstrating his ability to subdue an opponent quickly.
In fact, Ridder’s only two career losses are to Anatoly Malykhin. He tried to take down the Russian in two consecutive bouts, but failed, going on a five-bout winning streak as of today. Conversely, Allen has suffered two recent defeats before rallying against Marvin Vettori in July.
