2025 UEFA Super Cup Odds Favoring PSG
In 2025, PSG won the French Ligue 1 without any major issues. It was their 13th trophy, so it wasn’t much of a surprise. What they did on the continent, on the other hand, has left everyone speechless – they won their first-ever Champions League this Spring.
The French team failed to do it when Lionel Messi was on the team, or Neymar, or Kylian Mbappe. How did they pull it off? By working together as a collective. Not only did they win the UCL but in the final of the tournament, they absolutely demolished Inter Milan 5:0.
Then, they went to America and reached the final of the Club World Cup, but Chelsea then stunned them and won 3:0 in the Final. It was a disappointing loss, but truth be told, CWC wasn’t their top priority.
To be completely honest, neither is the 2025 Super Cup. However, at the time of the CWC, they were (probably) thinking about summer holidays. Ahead of the Super Cup, they’re thinking about the 2025-26 season, which kicks off just four days after the game in Udine.
Tottenham’s New Boss Thomas Frank Ready for the Big Game
Tottenham got to play in the 2025 Super Cup by winning the Europa League last Spring. The Spurs coach at the time was Ange Postecoglou, who led them to their first major trophy since 2008 when they won the English League Cup.
However, just 16 days after winning the trophy, Postecoglou was fired. The Spurs put the former Brentford manager in charger instead – Thomas Frank. While he did lead Tottenham in a few friendlies, the 2025 Super Cup is going to be his first competitive game as their manager.
While the Danish manager is one of the best tacticians in the Premier League, his team might not be elite. Their strongest weapon is defense, with Vicario between the posts – the player who won the Man of the Match accolade in the Europa League Final (he kept a clean sheet against Man Utd). They also have amazing center-backs in Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven.
However, Frank is famous for being a manager who puts offense first. That said, the Spurs might decide not to defend against PSG but to try and outscore the Parisians.
PSG vs. Tottenham Prediction
If Postecoglou was still in charge, the Spurs would probably employ the same tactical s in the Europa League Final. They’d defend with all they’ve got, letting the opposition have the ball.
But if Frank decides to go back-and-forth with PSG, it could backfire spectacularly. The French team destroyed mighty Inter Milan 5:0 in the UCL Final and we think they could do something similar to the Spurs.
