Ohio Man Secures a $100K Payout, Dumpster Dives for His Ticket

An Ohio man has had a spot of incredibly good luck, with the occasional lottery player winning a six-figure payout, but not before he almost lost the ticket and rescued it from the garbage in the last possible moment.

He Threw Out His $100K Ticket and Had to Find it in the Garbage

A resident of Willard, the man purchased a Bingo 25 Times 25 scratch-off ticket at the Circle K on Walton Street, which turned out to be just what he needed to secure the payout. 

The winning ticket was worth $100,000, and the man has opted for the one-time payment option, which came to $73,250 after all applicable taxes were withheld. The Bingo Times 25 is available for $5 per ticket, with the game still offering seven more top prizes.

But the win was nearly out of his grasp when he realized he had indeed won. He accidentally threw out his ticket and only remembered to retrieve it a short while before the dumpster truck came to collect it. 

The winner was absolutely relieved to find his ticket in the dumpster before it was collected by the relevant services.
