The New York Lottery has seen another resident win a seven-figure prize, with the lottery player in Jackson Heights scoring a $1,000,000 prize.
Man Adds His Name to List of Recent New York Winners
The winner, one Enrique Cabrera, claimed the prize from the aptly called $1,000,000 Bonus Cashword scratch-off game and has chosen to go for the $395,974 lump sum after all customary withholdings are applied.
The ticket was sold at I & Y News & Candy at 7413 Roosevelt Avenue in Jackson Heights. The winner is from Queens himself.
New York has been a site for lottery wins over the past months, with multiple seven-figure winners produced recently.
In mid-July, for example, a lucky player from Brooklyn won the mouth-watering $3 million prize from one of the New York Lottery’s scratch-off tickets.
The winner later visited the lottery HQ to claim her winnings, opting to take the one-time lump sum payment.
In another instance, a New York county resident ended up bagging the grand prize from the $3 Million MAX game.
The ticket, purchased in Fulton County, fetched the game’s top prize, and the winner, one Daniel Nellis of Caroga Lake, will be taking home a lump sum payment of $1,328,043 after all applicable taxes.
