This year’s NASCAR season is as heavily contested as you could ask for. The difference between Ryan Blaney and Willian Byron is merely 2 points in the overall standing, yet neither man is the favorite to secure the win on Sunday, September 28.
Yet, neither man is tapped as the favorite for the upcoming race at the Kansas Speedway over the weekend. Kyle Larson (+375) is presently the likely favorite, with bookies leaning heavily on the driver’s most recent performance. Larson is fittingly at 3076 points, only a handful behind Blaney’s 3084-point lead. With all of this in mind, let’s take a look at the odds and what to expect at the upcoming NASCAR race.

Kansas Speedway Will Put Drivers to the Test
The Kansas Speedway is historically a great venue for NASCAR fandom, and the Hollywood Casino 400 is an event that is already exceptional in length and breadth. Contenders will have to drive 400.5 miles and complete 267 laps.
The question, however, remains if Blaney can keep his lead. He is breathing down Larson’s neck, at least so far as oddsmakers are concerned, and is currently posted at (+700), meaning that there is doubt if he can extend his series lead once again.
Yet, both Larson and William Byron actually had poor finishes at last week’s USA Today 301, and if anything, they are not appearing to be in their best form. Blaney may not have won every race this season, but he has hardly had to. A quick look at his stats over the past five races would make you want to bet on him and his upcoming performance.
The man won two races and finished Top 5 in the other three, consolidating his performance throughout the season and being a clear sign that he is having a great shot at grabbing Sunday’s victory as well.
As to the rest of the drivers, there are many names to at least consider. Denny Hamlin is posted at respectable (+600), but his recent performance leaves something to be desired. Truth be told, the upcoming race will come down between Larson and Blaney, but our gut tells us to go with the Ford driver.
Pick: Ryan Blaney to Win (+700)
