An MGM Springfield player is starting the year with an early jackpot win. The person, who chose to remain anonymous, won a seemingly small amount – $13,264.33 playing the MoneyBall game at the property on January 10.

Jackpots Drop All over the US, and Beyond

Why it matters, though, is that the player had only bet a $5 wager, picking the right jackpot to make this a reality.  While no further information was shared about the winner, he or she is a part of a feel-good jackpot pattern that has already gotten underway in 2026.

The National Lottery in the United Kingdom, for example, has just announced that someone won nearly $18 million, and a player in Georgia stepped forward to claim more than $450-million in an all-cash option for the Mega Millions game.

Speaking of the Mega Millions lottery, a Navy veteran missed the $900-million payout just recently, but won a consolation prize of $3 million – still a pretty decent outcome

In other words, jackpots have been dropping all over the place, and that is not all there is to the stories. For those of you specifically looking for stories involving big-time lottery jackpots at US casinos, a man from Euclid, Ohio, will probably serve to inspire you!

The winner scooped up $604,658 at the Caesars PalaceCasino in Las Vegas when he hit a Three Card Poker Royal Flush, resulting in a significant win. The player spent 15 minutes before the big win dropped.
