Tak Chun Group or TCG has been operating with Macau Roosevelt Hotel since May 23. They are helping provide VIP gambling to the hotel casino. The partnership was finally confirmed by media representatives in a phone interview. The group operates 16 VIP gaming clubs around the city.
The VIP club provides 11 tables and five rooms. The casino holds a license under SJM Holdings and is known as the Casino Jockey Club. SJM kept the name when they moved the operations from the horse racing track.
According to the details, it was in March that Tak Chun Group’s Vincent Li stated they would launch another Macau VIP Club. The announcement was for that club to be at MGM Cotai Resort. The firm is attempting to expand inside Macau, plus they have a few international moves up their sleeves.
Tak Chun Group has two VIP clubs in Manila, one at Melco Resorts’ City of Dreams, and the second at Solaire Resort. Solaire is run by Bloomberry Resorts. Besides the MGM club, the company has a location at the Okada Manila Casino Resort.
The group has expanded quite a bit lately, with new VIP facilities in the Crown Plaza Danang Resort, which they added in April. The Vietnam facility is just one of many new VIP clubs announced recently by the Tak Chun Group. They also spoke about new VIP gaming in the Sands China Plaza Macau Casino.
According to the portfolio, the firm has 20 VIP locations throughout Asia-Pacific, which all have the TCG brand. In February, the company announced a 30 percent growth over last year, but it is not certain whether this is relating to revenue or gambling turnover.
Adding a VIP club at Macau Roosevelt ties in with the exit of David Group. The David Group is a junket investment group that decided to leave Macau and the Roosevelt in October 2017. The David Group said it related to development needs, optimization of management, and their decision to cease VIP gaming operations. The statement included that they analyzed the company and found other ways they could make money and needed to excise some losses.
