Last season was a season to forget for both Juventus and Inter Milan. Juve finished in fourth place in the Serie A, failing to win any other trophy as well. Inter Milan did slightly better, but they too ended up without any silverware in their possession. They finished second in the Italian topflight, as well as finished as the runners-up in the Champions League and Supercoppa Italiana.
Both teams are hoping the 2025-26 season will prove much better than the last one. Based on their performances in the first two rounds of the Serie A, it’s Juve whose fans have more reasons to feel optimistic – they’re 2-0-0 right now.

Juventus Looking for Their Third Straight Serie A Win
Juve started the new season with a routine 2:0 win over Parma at home, with goals by strikers Jonathan David and Dusan Vlahovic.
Their midfielders (particularly, Kenan Yildiz, Khephren Thuram, and Manuel Locatelli) were brilliant in that game, helping the team keep the ball in their possession for almost two-thirds of the match.
The only midfielder who had a bad game was Andrea Cambiaso, who got sent off late in the game, for which he had to miss the Round 2 duel with Genoa. Juve won their first away game of the 2025-26 season 1:0, with the only goal scored by Vlahovic.
Inter Hoping to Bounce Back After a Surprising Loss to Udinese
Inter Milan started the new season with a big 5:0 win over Torino on home turf. They completely dominated the game from the very start, with four different players finding the net: Marcus Thuram scored two goals, while Andrea Bastoni, Lautaro Martinez, and Ange-Yoan Bonny each found the target once.
Christian Chivu’s men looked great in that game, but in Round 2, they completely lost composure against Udinese. Even though they were the ones to get a 1:0 lead, the visitors from Udine scored two goals until the end of the first half.
Inter then spent the entire second half trying to score but failed to do so. Federico Dimarco did find the net once, but the goal was ruled out due to an offside.
Juventus vs. Inter Prediction
Inter is the better team, but Chivu’s men looked really uninspiring in their last outing. Plus, the game is played in Turin, where they always seem to struggle against Juve. In fact, Inter failed to win each of their last five away games against this opponent.
Our prediction is that they won’t win on September 13 either. We predict that the game will finish without a winner. This will probably be a low-scoring draw with a 0:0 or 1:0 final score.
