Another YouTuber boxing match has been announced recently.

An exhibition match between Jake Paul and Gervonta Davis has been scheduled for November 14 at the Kaseya Center in Miami.

Davis has been revealed as the favorite to win at -150, with Jake as the underdog at +138.

In recent times, more and more people have begun to realize that bouts including popular YouTubers are very profitable for everyone.

These matches have become more than a way for YouTubers to settle disagreements.

Legend after Legend

The former super featherweight and lightweight champion isn’t the only big-name opponent Jake has faced.

He began boxing in 2018 and went pro two years later, since then, he has racked up a record of 12 wins and one loss.

One of Jake’s most popular bouts has become the viewership record-setting bout against Mike Tyson, where a unanimous decision by the judges gave Jake the win in the eighth round.

Jake took another win in the bout with Julio César Chávez Jr, despite his opponent’s surge in the later rounds.

Other notable opponents that Jake has faced before include the two UFC fighters Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley, as well as the former NBA player Nate Robinson.

To this day, Jake has only suffered defeat once, which came from Tommy Fury, the half-brother of Tyson Fury.

A Sport under A Bigger Spotlight

Jake Paul isn’t the only prominent YouTuber to have gone into boxing.

While KSI might have been the first YouTuber boxer, his bout record is not as large as Jake’s, with only 7 fights, two of which happen to be losses.

Another YouTuber who should be mentioned is Jake’s older brother, Logan Paul, whose entire boxing career consisted of only four bouts.

Youtuber Boxing Here to Stay

Youtuber boxing has shown the world that it’s not going anywhere anytime soon.

The genre has begun to expand far beyond fan-based events like Creator Clash and disputes between YouTubers.

Currently, it seems to have gone in a more mainstream direction as well gained a certain sense of professionalism.
