GR8 Tech, a B2B provider of custom iGaming solutions, announced the appointment of a new chief technology officer. The one up to the task is Edward Smyshliaiev, a tech veteran who will enable the company to enter its next phase of growth.
A Seasoned Tech Veteran Joins as CTO
Smyshliaiev was described as a seasoned tech expert with over 20 years of experience in software engineering, AI, machine learning, and large-scale digital transformation. To top it all off, he has a robust track record in “turning complex challenges into scalable solutions.”
As chief technology officer of GR8 Tech, Smyshliaiev will work hard to reinforce the company’s team, streamline content development and enhance the company’s architecture to support its continued growth.
In his new role, the appointee will gradually be given responsibility over key areas, including platform, information security, and technical governance. Smyshliaiev will therefore leverage his experience to strengthen the company and make sure that it continues to deliver high-quality solutions to its clients.
Ashyrov Will Focus on Broader Strategy
Smyshliaiev’s appointment is in line with GR8 Tech’s ambition to strengthen its business by creating a strong leadership team. With him joining as CTO, Artur Ashyrov who previously served as both deputy CEO and CTO, will be able to solely focus on the former role.
According to GR8 Tech’s announcement, Ashyrov will still continue to drive the company’s tech aspect forward via the Innovation Sprint Initiative, which seeks to enhance the tech-savviness of the company’s workers and nurture a culture of innovation across its teams.

Smyshliaiev commented on his appointment as CTO, saying that this honor fills him with “immense enthusiasm.” He praised the business for its innovative mindset and incredible foresight and said that he is looking forward to helping it grow.

Ashyrov also commented on his departure from his position, saying that he is looking forward to stepping into a broader strategic focus and supporting Smyshliaiev’s endeavors in product innovation. He said that this change in leadership was a “natural evolution” for the company, which wants to disrupt the B2B platform sector.
GR8 Tech Remains a Promising Disruptor
GR8 Tech was recently included in the shortlist of nominees at the Asia Gaming Awards. The company was among the five nominees in the Online Sports Betting Solution, alongside BetConstruct, Digitain, MegaSportsWorld, and Sportradar – ORAKO.
