Global gaming giant Flutter Entertainment unveiled a new initiative to identify and empower promising sports solutions that encourage physical activity among adults. The initiative is called Tech4Good Awards 2025 and seeks to celebrate innovation in that area.
Flutter and Its Allies Want to Encourage Adults to Exercise
According to Flutter’s official announcement, the Flutter Tech4Good Awards 2025 are made possible by its collaboration with Alpha Hub and Beyond Sport. The gaming giant described the initiative as one that seeks to identify and boost tech-driven solutions “that harness the power of sport and physical activity to build healthier, more active communities.”
Flutter explained that recent studies show that many adults don’t exercise. Despite the proven benefits of physical activity, data shows that a staggering 31% of adults across the world are not doing enough to remain physically active. This has led to a broader decline in the physical and mental health of entire populations, Flutter asserted.
Because of that, the operator’s Flutter Tech4Good Awards 2025 will support solutions that address the aforementioned trend and encourage adults to live healthier lives. Flutter said that it doesn’t matter whether applicants are grassroots initiatives or scalable digital platforms, as long as their ideas are promising.
Flutter to Decorate the Most Promising Companies
According to the announcement, Flutter and Beyond Sport will decorate five of these organizations, which are deemed to be the best in using technology to inspire adults to exercise and reduce their inactivity.
In addition to the prestige of receiving Flutter’s praise, winners will get a share of £60,000 in funding. Furthermore, Flutter and its allies will empower winning organizations via a bespoke support program that will maximize their impact and growth.
Flutter added that Flutter Tech4Good Awards 2025 applicants may include all kinds of organizations, including charity services, startup organizations, social enterprises, or other “mission-driven entities with a focus on public health and physical activity,” as long as they leverage technology to encourage people to do sports.
Using Tech as a Force for Good
Kerry McNally, Flutter’s head of communities and engagement, commented on the launch, saying that the Flutter Tech4Good Awards are a testament to Flutter’s commitment to “using technology as a force for good,” per its Positive Impact Plan.
By backing innovative, tech-driven solutions, we aim to inspire healthier, more active communities and address the growing challenges of physical inactivity. Leveraging the Flutter Edge, we’re proud to support organizations that are using technology to deliver meaningful, long-term impact on health and wellbeing.
