DraftKings has launched a new campaign on the occasion of Responsible Gaming Education Month (RGEM), which is kicking off in September and is running annually. The campaign will seek to once again promote and push responsible gambling messages and focus on communicating this messaging to its millions-strong audience.
DraftKings Doubles Down on RG During September
Commenting on the opportunity to launch the new undertaking, and an initiative aligned with previous similar campaigns, DraftKings Chief Responsible Gaming Officer Lori Kalani had this to say:
“We are excited to launch our sweepstakes initiative in celebration of Responsible Gaming Education Month, inviting customers to explore our tools in a fun and engaging way. As a leading operator, we are committed to providing customers with tools that support responsible play and enhance their experience.”
The campaign is designed to help players tap into the ample resources available to them in order to make informed decisions and adopt a more responsible gaming culture, which is then shared with others.
Kalani called responsible gambling a key tenet of everything that DraftKings has been doing and, as such, the latest campaign will only strengthen this commitment.
“These efforts reflect DraftKings’ ongoing commitment to delivering a fun, responsible, and best-in-class experience for all customers,” DraftKings explained in a press statement, with a new Code of Responsible Play launched in time for both the month-long campaign as well as the National Football League (NFL) season.
DraftKings is hardly alone in promoting responsible play this season, with other operators joining in. However, DraftKings is expanding its commitment by providing innovative features, such as the My Budget Builder tool, meant to educate players about how to stay in control of their gambling spending and make informed decisions about their gambling.
DraftKings will also promote safer gambling tips and education on Mondays, releasing more details meant to be seen by its player bases and help them calibrate their gaming behavior for the better.
Previously, DraftKings banned the use of credit cards to fund payments and deposits to the platform, citing responsible gambling risks.
