Despite a surprising loss to the New England Patriots in the final week of the regular season, the Buffalo Bills still entered the Playoffs as the No. 2 seed in the AFC. As a result, they’re squaring off against the No. 7 seed, the Denver Broncos, who got to the postseason after beating the Kansas City Chiefs in the final round of the regular season.

Can Denver Broncos Stage an Upset?
The Denver Broncos finished the season with a 10-7 record, with the crucial win happening in the final week of the regular season. They defeated their AFC West rivals, the Kansas City Chiefs, and booked a ticket to the postseason. Actually, they didn’t just beat the Chiefs; they blew them out.
The final score was 38:0, which sounds very impressive. However, the defending champions played without their key men in that game, including Pat Mahomes. On top of that, the game was played in Denver, where the Broncos usually do okay.
In the regular season, they went 6-2 at home. On the road, however, they’re not that great, with four wins and five losses in the 2024 season. Furthermore, they have a very poor history in the games played on Buffalo’s turf. They won just once in their last five trips to Highmark Stadium.
Buffalo Bills Expecting a Josh Allen Show
The Bills finished the regular season with a 13-4 record. They could’ve done even better, but they took it easy in the final week against the Patriots. The reason? They had no motivation to win that game, as they had already secured the No. 2 seed in the AFC.
They did it by destroying the New York Jets 40:14 a week before. Their quarterback Josh Allen was phenomenal in that game, with two of his passes resulting in touchdowns. Actually, the guy’s been playing at an MVP level throughout the season – he’s got a QB Rating of 77.2, which is the second-highest number (just behind Baltimore’s Lamar Jackson).
Thanks to Allen, the Bills are the No. 2 offense in the NFL, scoring an average of 30.9 points per game this season. Their defensive team, however, hasn’t been as great, with 21.6 points allowed per game on average. There are 10 teams with a lower number, one of which is Denver, with 18.3.
Denver Broncos vs. Buffalo Bills Wild Card Prediction
The Broncos’ strongest weapon is their defense, but if there’s someone who can find a way to outsmart them, it’s Buffalo’s Josh Allen. Our prediction is that this guy is going to wreak havoc on the Broncos on Sunday, leading the Bills to a blowout win.
Pick: Buffalo Bills -9.5
