DC United Need to Start Playing Better at Home
DC United are sitting bottom of the table in the 2025 MLS Eastern Conference with a 4-8-15 (W-D-L) record and a score difference of 23:52. Their record at home is 2-5-6, with their most recent win happening back in early May.
More recently, we saw them lose four of the previous six MLS games on their turf, including the one against the Chicago Fire, which saw the visitors win 7:1.
They also have a very bad record against Inter Miami, particularly in games played in Washington. They lost two of their last three duels at Audi Field, conceding a total of 8 goals along the way.

In their most recent MLS game, Inter Miami beat LA Galaxy 3:0, thus putting an end to their two-game winless run in the league. The game saw the return of Lionel Messi, who hadn’t played in the MLS since July.
Coach Javier Mascherano started the game without him on the field, but put him in action in the second half. It was a good decision as Messi scored one goal, as well as made one assist.
He won the Man of the Match accolade, but this wasn’t a one-man show. Inter Miami’s recent arrival, midfielder Rodrigo de Paul, also did a fine job that day. In fact, this guy has been a true midfield general for the Herons in practically every single game he’s played so far.

We’re 100% confident Inter Miami will win this game. The only question is how many goals will they score? Our prediction is that they’re going to score a lot. They’re in great shape, so it would be really strange if they didn’t find the net multiple times on August 23.
