Cory Sandhagen vs Merab Dvalishvili UFC 320 Odds, Time, and Prediction

Merab Dvalishvili is poised to cruise to a comfortable victory in UFC 320 in his match-up against Cory Sandhagen, that is, if you ask the oddsmakers, who give the Georgian (-400) odds to win. Yet, Sandhagen’s performance must not be underestimated, not least because of his win against Deiveson Figueiredo in May, where the pair headlined Fight Night.

Can Sandhagen overcome his opponent? Dvalishvili has shown excellent form, and he is unlikely to have lost momentum since his last bout in June.

Sandhagen the Underdog: Is He Worth Betting On?

At (-400), Dvalishvili is not really a prime betting target, and while the Georgian has demonstrated incredible qualities in both his fights against Sean O’Malley and Umar Nurmagomedov, he is not yet a shoo-in in his upcoming fight against Sandhagen.

Far from it. The Georgian is career 20-4, whereas Sandhagen sits at only a slightly worse 18-5. Sandhagen has also been fighting less, with only a single fight in 2025, which he won. Importantly, though, he has spent time improving, whereas Dvalishvili has opted for taking on new opponents all the same.

The fight is crucial for both fighters, as it could pave Dvalishvili’s legacy to UFC greatness, while Sandhagen may add to his ricochet record of wins and losses. The good news is that Sandhagen has already done it once against Figueiredo, whom he KO/TKO’d in May, and the Brazilian had a similar record to the one held by Dvalishvili.

Figueiredo has also been sparing in picking his fights, but he has taken on established fighters, giving Sandhagen a fair chance, extrapolating from his performance against the Brazilian. Dvalishvili is a threat, as he is known to be a great grappler but also has the stamina to last an entire fight.

Sandhagen, however, has not really lost much in the past three years, succumbing only to Umar Nurmagomedov by decision in 2024. While he hasn’t been fighting as much, we believe Sandhagen is the worthy betting pick here, precisely because of his more focused approach to individual fights. The American is put at odds of (+300), and this is where the smart money is today.

Pick: Cory Sandhagen (+300)
