Cloudbet has released its eponymous Cloudbet Snapshot: Regional Crypto Betting Trends analysis, which collates data from the operator’s international businesses and brings it together to offer an insightful look into consumer habits, betting trends, and more.

New Report Drills Down Crypto Betting Activity by Sport and Region

The first snapshot of many similar to come covers the period of August through September 2025, and analyzes 12 events, crunching numbers extracted from Cloudbet’s own database. The period covers such events as the MLB playoff race, the US Open tennis championships, and the European soccer seasons, offering ample data and evidence to define trends.

Cloudbet’s results are interesting, as they confirm that soccer is the main driver of crypto betting across the world, but then again, regional favorites such as Argentina Liga Profesional, UFC, and baseball continue to draw significant betting activity and elicit a strong fan response.

In a statement, Cloudbet’s spokesperson, John, said: We took each region’s top five competitions and built a composite set to show where local favorites overlap or diverge globally. This snapshot gives a clean view of how bettors engage across regions, without drowning in the thousands of markets we host every day.”

Based on Cloudbet’s data, soccer accounted for 57.1% of the total activity, with Premier League accounting for 15.57% of the handle, La Liga coming in a close second with 12.78% and UEFA Champions League taking 10.08% of the cut.

Tennis surprisingly generated 20% of the tracked activity, with the US Open proving a worthwhile event for gamblers and sportsbooks, and MLB pitched 9.73% of the total activity. Cloudbet similarly dug into regional trends, which were broadly aligned with what was already stated.

Latin America saw Copa Libertadores take 8.98% of the handle, followed by Liga Profesional de Fútbol, which accounted for another 8.53%, and then, MLB, which stood tall at 10.89% of the total handle.

Baseball, Tennis, Soccer, and UFC Drive Bulk of Crypto Betting Handle

In North America, MLB stood at 22.78%, demonstrating baseball’s staying power, and the NFL took in 10.62% with the new season now underway. The UFC generated another 10.21% of the handle, especially owing to the Du Plessis vs Chimaev bout.

Asia and the Middle East saw interest in Serie A drive the bulk of activity, with 9.75% of the total, and the UFC hit 5.98%. In Europe, the majority of betting interest went to the UEFA Europa Conference League (9.93%) and the US Open Women’s Singles, which saw 10.03% of the total.

Argentina’s Liga Profesional de Fútbol has maintained interest in events alive, too, argues Cloudbet, as the La Liga and Premier League action are not the only game in town for the platform’s bettors and sports fans.
