Carolina Panthers vs. Jacksonville Jaguars 2025 NFL Odds, Time, and Prediction

These two teams have met only eight times in the regular season of the NFL since 1996. The series is tied 4-4, with the Jacksonville Jaguars winning their most recent duel. It took place in December 2023, and we saw the Jags crush the Carolina Panthers 26-0.

But the Panthers from two years ago aren’t the same team as today. In 2025, they look dangerous offensively, which is why our prediction is that they’re gonna score at least a TD or two on September 7. But will that be enough?

Carolina Panthers Offensive Firepower Mustn’t Be Underestimated

Carolina’s QB Bryce Young put on some late-season heroics last year. It wasn’t enough to get to the playoffs, but if he can carry his good form into the 2025 NFL, who knows what might happen.

This goes especially given that Young has some great options on the receiving end, most notably, Adam Thielen. He’s a reliable veteran who works very well with Young. On top, the Panthers now also have a couple of exciting WR options among youngsters – Tetairoa McMillan, Xavier Legette, and Jalen Coker.

On top of that, the Panthers also have a reliable offensive line, which is bound to provide good protection to the QB. And if their passing game goes astray, they can give the ball to running back Chuba Hubbard.

But what about their defensive team? While offense shows promise, defense is still largely in flux, with lots of new faces. They might turn into a defensive powerhouse, but even if it happens, we’re 100% certain it won’t happen straight away. That said, we think they’re gonna have a lot of trouble to deal with Trevor Lawrence & Co.

Trevor Lawrence Is Itching to Get the Action Going

Jacksonville’s QB Trevor Lawrence is coming off a horrible season, in which he went 2-8 as a starter, and which was cut short due to an injury. But a lot has changed since. He’s back at 100% fitness and has even received a contract extension.

Lawrence & Co. have also gotten themselves a new boss after Doug Pederson was fired. Liam Coen is their new head coach – his first job in this role.

Previously, he worked as the offensive coordinator for Tampa, LA Rams, and a few NCAAF teams. He also worked for years as a QB coach. With this guy in charge, the Jaguars are bound to do better offensively than last year.

Carolina Panthers vs. Jacksonville Jaguars Prediction

We predict that this game will see plenty of touchdowns on both ends. While Jacksonville’s got better defense, we think that Carolina’s offensive firepower will make all difference here. That said, we’re backing the visitors to get the win.
