This October, in full support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, casinos in Atlantic City will be busy hosting fundraising events, offering mobile on-site mammography screenings for employees, and taking part in the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Walk.

Supporting a “Near and Dear” Cause

The combined efforts will be aimed at promoting early detection and providing education and support for women affected by breast cancer.

“Every year the casino industry comes together to support a cause that is so near and dear to our hearts,” said Mark Giannantonio, president of the Casino Association of New Jersey

“Breast cancer is a disease that impacts all of us, and thanks to medical advancements and research supported by fundraising efforts, we are seeing improved treatment options and greater survival rates. This awareness campaign helps to save lives, and we are honored to be part of it.”

Casinos, Flooded in Pink Lights

Guests will notice the city’s casinos bathed in pink lighting throughout the month. Bally’s Atlantic City will offer pink cocktails, mocktails, and desserts at several restaurants, with a portion of proceeds going to breast cancer awareness. The property itself will also feature pink lighting at the Pacific Avenue entrance and on Level Six.

Borgata will serve an array of pink-inspired drinks across its bars and restaurants, donating $10,000 to the American Cancer Society’s Men Wear Pink campaign and offering mobile mammography screenings for staff.

Caesars Entertainment properties, including Tropicana, Caesars, and Harrah’s Resort, will all join in with pink exterior lights, fountains, and decorations, plus fundraising through specialty cocktails, cash donations, and rounding up checks.

Team leaders at Caesars and Harrah’s will also participate in the Real Men Wear Pink campaign, hosting events like t-shirt sales, dunk tanks, and prize drawings.

Golden Nugget Atlantic City will offer a Pink Warrior cocktail, with $1 from each drink going to Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, while team members will participate in the Men Wear Pink campaign to raise funds and awareness.

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City is marking the 25th anniversary of its PINKTOBER program, turning the property pink, hosting themed fundraising events, and offering special cocktails and spa treatments. Proceeds from ticketed events support Wigs & Wishes, which provides wigs and wishes to cancer patients.

Ocean Casino Resort will serve the Pink Paloma cocktail, donating a portion of proceeds, and sponsoring Making Strides in Ocean City, NJ, alongside volunteer efforts and a pink tribute banner. Resorts Casino Hotel will run its Men Wear Pink campaign, hosting a Pink Cash Dash, specialty drinks, and collecting slot ticket vouchers for donations to the American Cancer Society.
