The family had stayed at the Hard Rock Casino & Hotel in Atlantic City to celebrate New Year’s Eve.
After returning home the mother, Margie Lynn, came to realize that the teddy bear of her 9-year old son Callen had gone missing.
Following this she went on the internet to implore Hard Rock in helping find the missing teddy bear – Tim.
In a Facebook post where Lynn had tagged Hard Rock she shared how Callen had had “Tim” ever since he had been a baby.
Callen’s mother also added how it hurt her knowing that they had lost the teddy bear and that her son even wished to make missing person posters.
Casino Responds to Heartfelt Plea
It didn’t take long for the post to go viral, after which Hard Rock took notice of Lynn’s sincere message for help.
VP of marketing & entertainment for Hard Rock Atlantic City, Michael Woodside, shared his sympathies on the difficulties of losing a friend.
Staff began a full search of the building with the casino sharing that not only housekeepers and security personnel but also executives were helping look for “Tim”.
Places available to visitors staying at the hotel such as guest rooms, hallways, and elevators were searched.
Every nook and cranny of the building was looked at including places accessible usually only to staff like laundry areas, the displays with their signature music memorabilia as well as instrument cases and housekeeping carts.
The Search for the Teddy Bear Continues
Callen’s 10th birthday on January 14 is getting ever closer with yet no signs of “Tim”.
His mother continues to hope that he will eventually be found and returned before his birthday.
Hard Rock has stated that if unsuccessful in their search Callen will instead receive a special gift.
The president of Hard Rock Atlantic City George Goldhoff shared how important the whole situation was to everyone and shared some information about the gift:
“And if we can’t get Callen his Tim back, we want to introduce a replacement bear — a cousin in Tim’s family.”
The gift will be given to Callen after he and his family have a gratis birthday lunch at the Sugar Factory.
