Aristocrat Leisure Limited announced plans to buy Awager Ltd., a leading company in live slot streaming. The deal made with funds overseen by Oaktree Capital Management keeps the price under wraps and will close after getting regulatory approvals.

Awager’s Live Slot Streaming Expertise Catches the Attention of Aristocrat

Awager runs its business from Israel and focuses on the fast-expanding world of live slot streaming. This digital space mixes the feel of real-life casino gaming with online engagement. The company lets gaming operators provide players with live casino games through sophisticated streaming tools and content from other providers. With about 75 team members working across Israel, Eastern Europe, and the US, Awager has become a top player in this specific market in the United States.

Industry experts say Aristocrat’s decision to buy Awager highlights its plan to grow in digital markets and expand its entertainment offerings. Aristocrat plans to speed up its presence in regulated online gaming by blending Awager’s unique tech and US network with its own global reach and game-making skills.

Awager is known for connecting physical casino games with online gaming through one digital platform, which remains uncommon in the larger iGaming world. Aristocrat plans to add its high-quality gaming content to Awager’s platform post-acquisition. It hopes this will offer better products and draw more players in.

Awager Purchase Supports Aristocrat’s Move into Online and Real-Money Gaming

Aristocrat’s team said this decision matches the company’s larger goal to grow its skills in interactive and real-money gaming. Bringing in Awager’s live streaming expertise will add something fresh to what Aristocrat offers. It will fit well with its work in Aristocrat Gaming, Product Madness, and Aristocrat Interactive.

This agreement comes after several moves Aristocrat made in recent months. In June, Aristocrat Interactive set up a six-year deal with the Michigan Lottery. Later, in September, they teamed up with the Plaza Hotel & Casino to develop a slot area. The company also made changes to its management, naming Dylan Slaney as the CEO of Aristocrat Interactive and putting Michael Daly in charge of Business Development as Senior Vice President.

UBS advised Aristocrat during the transaction, while Moelis & Company took on the same role for Oaktree. The deal is expected to close in the next few months, subject to regulatory approval. This acquisition helps Aristocrat strengthen its standing as a leader in combining tech, entertainment, and real-money gaming. It boosts its image as one of the most creative players in the global gaming industry.
