The Belgian Grand Prix has been around (with some breaks) since the first season of Formula 1 (back in 1925). Exactly a century after the first F1 race at Spa-Francorchamps, the who’s who of motorsports is gathering at the same place again – Lando Norris, Oscar Piastri, Max Verstappen, and the rest.
They’re all dreaming of the title, which is why winning the 2025 Belgian GP is on everyone’s mind. With one of the longest laps on the F1 calendar and famously unpredictable weather, the race often serves as a turning point in the title race.
This year, we’re coming off a thrilling British GP that saw Lando Norris take the win at Silverstone, and now all eyes are on how the momentum will shift at Spa.

Belgian Grand Prix Odds Favor McLaren’s Drivers
Lando Norris is coming off an emotional win at his home GP in Britain, where he drove a near-perfect race. It was his fourth win of the season and a big moment in his bid for a maiden title. Now he heads to Spa full of confidence.
But unlike Silverstone, Spa hasn’t been one of his strongest circuits historically. In fact, his best finish in the Belgian GP was the No. 5 position last year. His teammate, Oscar Piastri, on the other hand, has been great here.
The Aussie driver was sensational at Spa last year, finishing second behind Lewis Hamilton and cementing it as one of the best drives of his young career – up to this season. Now, he returns as the current championship leader with five wins under his belt.
Consistency has been the name of his game — the McLaren driver hasn’t finished outside the top 4 since the first race of the season.
Our 2025 Belgian Grand Prix prediction is that he’ll continue doing the same. A top 4 position is almost guaranteed for Piastri, but can he actually win this race? His odds of +160 suggest he can, but it’s not going to be easy as everyone’s gonna go all-in on July 27.
Belgian GP Underdogs That Can Bite on July 27
The 2025 Belgian Grand Prix odds suggest that one of the two McLaren drivers will win the July 27 race. But if a surprise is going to happen at Spa, who’s gonna be behind it? There are a couple of underdogs who look capable of staging an upset, namely:
- Max Verstappen – He hasn’t had the kind of dominant year we’re used to seeing, but Spa could be the spark. The Dutchman grew up just a short drive from this track and calls it his “home away from home.” He’s won here three times already, from 2021 to 2023 before his run was cut short by legendary Lewis Hamilton.
- Lewis Hamilton – The British driver is actually the one with the most wins at Spa of all the drivers on the 2025 F1 roster. His win here last season remains the last time he won a Formula race. As a reminder, he’s still without a triumph since joining Ferrari.
Based on the 2025 Belgian GP odds, bookies seem to predict that Charles Leclerc and George Russell will do fine as well. We agree, but we don’t think they can actually win the race. Instead, a top 5 finish is what they should be after.
2025 Belgian Grand Prix Prediction
Our pick is Oscar Piastri. He’s the best driver in F1 right now, with five wins in 2025. Sure, it’s been a while since he won – it happened on the first day of June the last time – but he did come close in the UK.
In fact, he would’ve won the race if it weren’t for a controversial penalty. Nevertheless, he still managed to finish second. This time around, we think he’s gonna finish before anyone else.
Pick: Oscar Piastri
